Back when I first launched Piggy Did It!, the theme was much more, well, Pig-oriented. One of Brian’s favorite parts of the old site were a couple simple “movies” I made in Illustrator and Photoshop. Essentially, I drew different slide, then made them into animated GIFs, because that was as far as my knowledge at the time would take me.
At his request, I am reposting these.
Unlike most things on this site, these are not up for grabs. These may not be reused in any manner.

The Second Piggy Did It! Intro Movie

There are a lot of times, I look back at old work and think, “what the hell was I thinking?” or all I see is what I think I did incorrectly. Now, these are both far from perfect, but, when I look at them, I smile. Not perfect, but certainly whimsical and fun.
After keeping this site in various states of dormancy for about a year and half, I’ve decided to bring it back full force. But what does that mean?
Personal Work
When I first launched Piggy Did It! in 2004, it was my blog. It was the first site I’d created since my teens and, let’s be honest here, it was terrible. The only good thing about it were the illustrations I had made for the site, which helped me get my name out there. People came to see the drawings, not my crap blog, which I had mostly created manually in Microsoft Frontpage (yeah, I know).
When I bought the domain name ryanarrowsmith.com, and moved my blog over there, I didn’t know what to do with PDI. So, I decided that I’d make it a person portfolio and freebie site. Fast forward a couple years and that’s still the game plan, I’m just actually getting my butt in gear.
So, to answer this simple question in as long-winded manner as possible, I’m going to use PDI to show my personal illustration work, and also post freebies, etc.
Semi-frequent Updates
I started this paragraph with “regular updates”, but that might be too ambitious right now. For now, I’m dedicated to updating as much as possible, and I have a couple original Wordpress themes ready for release. I’m also going to publish a few very simple Wordpress tutorials here for beginners.
So, hang in there with me. Oh, and expect really big fonts. I like big fonts.
